First year of APD Moldova in review
Reflecting on the first full year of APD Moldova, 2024 stands out as a pivotal year in advancing Moldova’s agri-food sector.
Following Moldova’s renewed commitment to join the European Union after the positive EU Referendum on October 20, 2024, our focus on fostering knowledge-sharing and strengthening ties with European counterparts has become more essential than ever. APD Moldova has played a central role in supporting this process, driving progress through collaboration, education, and a shared vision for a sustainable future.
Throughout the year, we convened experts, industry leaders, and stakeholders to engage in addressing the challenges and opportunities facing Moldova’s agri-food sector. Our events, including high-level conferences, workshops, and study tours in Germany and Austria, have had a lasting impact, empowering professionals and policymakers to implement change.
2024 was not solely about relationship building and knowledge exchange but reaffirmed Moldova’s commitment to European integration. Each event, lecture, and consultation has fortified APD Moldova’s role as a key enabler of the ongoing transformation, advancing the country’s path toward a more sustainable, resilient, and globally competitive agri-food sector.
As we look ahead to 2025, we are motivated to continue this journey, confident that each step forward reinforces Moldova’s dedication to a brighter and more inclusive future for the national agri-food industry. Together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova (MAIA), supported by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) and the members of the Agri-food Partnership Platform, we will continue laying the foundation for a future where innovation, knowledge, and collaboration drive lasting success.
Stay tuned for further updates as we continue to share, learn, and grow—our journey is just beginning.
