National Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (NSARD) of the Republic of Moldova

It states the vision and priorities of the Government in this sector of major importance and aims to develop a competitive agri-food sector, centered on environment-friendly and climate-resilient value chains with high potential. It is structured in 4 General Objectives pertaining to strengthening the agricultural sector by developing the food industry, diversifying markets, strengthening the country’s food security and raising food safety standards according to EU ones, providing better rural livelihoods and well-being and ensuring the transposition of the EU Acquis and its progressive implementation.
