APD Supports Moldova's Participation in EuroTier 2024: Opportunities for the Livestock Sector

Between November 10-14, 2024, APD Moldova organized a study tour for participants of the Moldovan livestock sector at the EuroTier 2024, a renowned international event dedicated to the livestock sector, held biennially in Hanover, Germany.

The Moldovan delegation was led by Mr. Iurie Scripnic, State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and included representatives from the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA), the Moldovan Dairy Farmers Association, and the Pork Producers Association. The delegation engaged in official meetings with German decision-makers, conducted working visits to farms and research institutions, and participated in a networking session with officials from Ukraine and other European partners.

A highlight of the visit was attending the International Conference “Animal Husbandry in Moldova and Ukraine: Opportunities and Challenges with EU Integration”, held on November 13. During the conference, Moldovan and Ukrainian officials discussed the prospects of European integration for the livestock sector. Mr. Iurie Scripnic presented the progress and challenges faced by the Republic of Moldova in this field.

Moldova’s participation at the EuroTier 2024 represents a significant step towards aligning its livestock sector with European Union requirements and opening new opportunities for Moldovan farmers and entrepreneurs.
