Modernizing the Curriculum of the Agriculture Faculty at the Technical University of Moldova
APD Moldova is advancing its support for aligning higher education in Moldova with European Union standards. From October 7–10, 2025, a mission with Professor Stephan von Cramon-Taubadel from the University of Göttingen and Professor Klaus Erdle from the University of Bingen is supporting the Faculty of Agricultural, Forestry and Environment Sciences (FAFES) of the Technical University of Moldova (TUM).
The mission aims to help FAFES set up a modern, EU-aligned curriculum. Key activities include a diagnostic review of the existing curriculum and academic capacities, discussions with faculty and students, and visits to practice sites. Based on these findings, proposals for improvement will be discussed with the Dean and staff, including first recommendations for developing a Master’s Programme.
The outcomes of the mission will be summarized in a Report and presented in a final consultation with FAFES leadership, setting the course for further modernization and investment in agricultural education in Moldova.
